I feel like talking about Disney again. I was on the disney confessions tumblr the other day and decided to watch a movie. I realized that I never noticed what a beautiful last line the movie had. Which made me think, how many disney movies do I actually remember what the closing line is? I starting going though the list and while thinking of that I noticed a few other little details.
For example, Aurora's mother has no name, even though both the kings do. The Tramp doesn't actually have a real name either. The dogs refer to him as the tramp because of his reputation, but it's not a name. Each human household he gets food from calls him something different. I never picked that up as a kid. Or that Mrs.Potts is pretty damn old to have a child as young as Chip, not to mention that the entire cupboard of teacups are his siblings. And how can Chip be that young when the curse was cast 10 years ago? The curse doesn't stop aging, since Adam had to break it by the time he came of age at 21. It's a loophole.
Think about it. Any fun tidbits you never noticed? And here's a fun game: For each disney movie, try to see if you can remember who the first character on screen is, and what the last line spoken was.
Snow White Pinocchio Dumbo Cinderella Sleeping Beauty Lady and the Tramp The Aristocats The Rescuers The Fox and the Hound Peter Pan The Jungle Book The Little Mermaid Beauty and the Beast Aladdin The Lion King Tarzan Atlantis Mulan Treasure Planet The Emperor's New Groove
I only knew some of them. A few are easy, but some are really kind of interesting.
